When our sister-brand, Shop Brett Robson, turned 10 years old this May, we knew it had to be bigger than just a celebration of style. It had to mean something. And so, the Give Back Box campaign was born – an ode to growth, gratitude, and giving back to women who embody strength in its purest form.
We opened up our sample vault, reached out to our day-one content creators, and gathered gently worn pieces from our community. Then we boxed them up with purpose and delivered them somewhere special: Kerr House - a women’s hospice in Durban that’s been changing lives since 1951.
Let’s take a moment to really sit with that.
Kerr House has been around for over 70 years. That’s 70+ years of holding space for women escaping abuse, poverty, instability, and other unimaginable circumstances. Women arrive here in search of something better - safety, stability, a fresh start and they’re met with more than just four walls. They’re met with hope.
Inside Kerr House, the healing goes beyond rest. They offer skills development programs, embroidery classes, and even yoga sessions. These programs aren’t just “activities” but about rebuilding confidence, nurturing self-worth, and helping women discover their magic again.
When we arrived to drop off the Give Back Boxes, we were humbled. We got to speak with the ladies, hear about their stories, and feel their energy. It wasn’t just emotional - it was empowering. This wasn’t about us donating clothes. This was about passing the vibe - the same confidence, softness, and boldness our pieces once gave, now wrapped in purpose and handed over to women ready to step into their next chapter.
Speaking to the social worker, Sheila Naidoo, here is what she had to say, “The women come into our shelter at odd hours in the night with nothing but their children.”
To our community: We want you to know that fashion is never just surface level. With the right intention, clothes can uplift someone else when they need it most.
This campaign was about honouring that truth. Honouring them.
Thank you to the content creators who gave from their closets, and to our audience for always standing with us in purpose and power.
This is what we’re proud of. This is what we stand for.
