Some of you may be asking yourself what this “Rocking The Daisies Festival” that everyone has been talking about it is. Girl, where have you been? Well, let us break it down for you.
RTD is a musical festival that has taken place at the world’s popular Cloof Winelands in the Mother City, Cape Town since 2005.
The aim of the festival is to uplift upcoming artists from across the globe, and promote their music and fashion sense to the thousands of people who attend it.
After being suspended for two years due to the COVID-19 outbreak, RTD has come back with a bang baby and they are bringing the ever-so-sexy Kehlani to headline and serenade the crowd at the Wine Estate. Local artists include Nasty C, DBN Gogo, Sun El Musician, and Blxckie to name a few.
The good news? City of Gold residents have not been left out of the festival because come 9 October, they will also have their fair share of fun at Centurion.
While still at the main event in Cape Town, here are a few things you can do at the Cloof Wine Estate:
- Enjoy an insta-worthy scenery at Duckitt Nurseries where they specialize in producing and exporting top quality Cymbidium Orchid cut flowers. Immense yourself with the different scents of flowers, and we won’t mind if you wear our linen two-piece 😉
- Go wine tasting at the Darling Wine Shop for that personal feeling when smelling and sipping that glass of wine from its very own home.
- Take a moment to learn the interesting history and how the ‘Darling’ was established at the Darling Museum.
- For the adventurers at heart, you can visit the Game drive at the Darling region’s sister farm, Burghersport.
Even if you don’t have time to visit these places this time around, you can always add them to your bucket list for 2023. 😌
